Congratulations to the newly elected and inducted School Captains, Vice-Captains and Prefects for 2020. This induction of the 2 Captains and 2 Vice-Captains and 37 Prefects took place at the Whole Schools assembly this morning. This achievement is recognition of the outstanding commitment these students have made to Plumpton High School throughout the time they have been students.
They have chosen to be courageous and apply for a position in the Student Executive Council Senior Leadership team, many overcoming significant fears associated with taking up a senior leadership role. All Captains and Prefects will continue to be supported and developed through mentoring from our business partners and alumni in areas of project management, leadership and public speaking enabling them to carry out their role to an exemplary standard.
I am sure our new leadership team will be able to rise to the challenge before them with courage, clear focus, passion and determination. They are an enthusiastic and vibrant team of students who I see further developing over the next 12 months.
The 2020 team will have important work to maintain the current teams of Inclusion, Unity, Charity, Diversity, Sustainability, and Leadership and continue work to support the ongoing implementation of the Merit System, House System and Primary to Secondary Transitional Leadership teams.
