Mock Interview Futures Program at Plumpton
06 Sep 2022
On Friday, the Futures Centre ran the 2022 Plumpton High School Mock Interviews program for our Year 10 cohort and for our Year 10 -12 Jackman students. We had 24 representatives from industry supporting the event.
A mock interview is an emulation of a job interview and is used for training purposes. The exercise resembles a real interview as closely as possible, for the purpose of providing experience for a candidate. It can help a job applicant to understand what is expected in a real job interview and can help an applicant improve self-presentation. The Mock Interviews were intended to assist our students to develop their confidence for real interviews, as well as provide them with information about how to handle interviews.
I would like to express my sincere thanks our incredible business mentors and interviewers for volunteering their valuable time to support our students and school.
Congratulations and thank you to Gemma Avon for leading our highly successful Mock Interview Day with Priyanka Karan, Carolyn Langham and Robina Portelli. This process being an essential part of our Career Pathways Planning process for our Year 10 students.
