Plumpton High School is a Year 7 to Year 12, Comprehensive, Coed Secondary School in Plumpton. Plumpton High School offers a number of unique curriculum based programs including a student leadership model incorporating business mentoring and commercial project management; technology based courses such as: forensic science, with students conducting DNA testing and other high level problem solving processes; computer science; robotics; and 10 other gifted and talented programs taught by teachers with industry based experience and qualifications.
Plumpton has demonstrated a significant shift in school culture, moving from a welfare to a well-being disposition supported by high expectations that are clear and transparent. The Wellbeing Framework is embedded in the curriculum and supported by timetabled lessons which include concepts underpinned by Positive Psychology, Growth Mindset and Choice Theory. The Executive and Wellbeing team are formally trained in these disciplines. This Framework has supported students to shift mindset; embrace challenge and adversity; and revel in finding solutions to complex problems, both individually and collaboratively.
