Professional Learning Days at Plumpton High School – Preparing for 2026 Success & Excellence
30 Jan 2026
We welcomed our staff back to school for professional learning at Plumpton High School as the first item on our 2026 education journey over 4 days. Firstly, we reflected on the success of 2025 and congratulated our teachers and all staff upon this level of accomplishment. We then commenced looking at what we can do to improve upon this.
Staff were engaged in continuing developing their capacity to deliver high quality teaching, learning, wellbeing and leadership. They also finalised their preparations to welcome students back to school on Monday 2 February.
After a highly successful year in 2025 we will build upon this during 2026 as we maintain the rapid rate of change in the world within which we live to ensure our students flourish at and beyond school.
Our focus will be upon developing students’ intellectual capacity to solve complex problems independently, collaboratively, and with appropriate technology at local, national, and global levels.
We will emphasise building strong personal and professional relationships, nurturing empathy, self-advocacy, efficacy, and advanced communication skills.
A strong focus on strengthening self-concept and wellbeing by encouraging courage, resilience, grit, determination, and growth mindset. This supports embracing challenges and building emotional, cognitive, social, physical, and spiritual wellbeing.
We will continue cultivate student and teacher leadership, agency, and voice to support long-term growth and their ability to lead themselves and others.
Finally, we ensure students and staff continue developing critical reflection skills to learn from experience and continuously improve.
