Congratulations to the Student Executive Council’s (SEC) Team Charity - Tomika Harley, Jacquelyn Refalo, Heidi Pak, Cecilia Taeiloa, Lesa Mataafa, Ella Hearning and Taylah Mondon who through their project management structure ran Plumpton’s Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea.
The funds Plumpton High School raised with help:
• Provide family resources to learn about their cancer risk and how to lower their cancer risk
• Help fund the Sun Smart school programs
• Pay for cancer nurses to be available on 13 11 20 for expert knowledge and support for those in need
• Provide transport and housing for families to attend Cancer Lodges for those who have to travel for cancer treatment.
Congratulations to the Team Charity students for running such a successful event, thank you to Ms Donohue and Mr Temby for their ongoing leadership of the SEC and Ms Karan and her hospitality students for great coffee. Thank you to the SEC for putting on an event to also recognise the incredible staff we have at Plumpton and to staff and faculties who contributed their best baked treats.
