An incredible day of leadership, project management, personal branding and career journey learning on Tuesday as we welcomed our Citi Group partners back into our face-to-face partnership that has been on hold for a couple of years due to COVID. Plumpton has been working with Citi for 7 years and are highly valued for their significant contribution to the future success of our students beyond schoo.
The day was facilitated by our SEC Coordinators Ms Racela, Ms Caramancion, Ms Maait and Annabel Parsk, Senior Early Career Recruiter Australia & New Zealand from Citi. Citi mentors shared their career and learning journeys with our Plumpton students and participated in the following learning activities:
• Citi Graduate Journeys
• Team building games and activities
• Developing SEC 2023 Projects
• Networking Why and How to - Using social media - Brand, Reputation, Using LinkedIn
• Supporting SEC to engage outside agencies to partner in projects
As I have stated previously, if we demonstrate what the world beyond school looks like by being immersed in it through partnerships with industry our students learn and understand that they have necessary skills/capabilities to succeed in that world – it builds self-concept, courage and an understanding that our kids are ‘just like their mentors’.
