Congratulations to our Agriculture students and Mr. Gerrie who competed in the recent Penrith show winning 2nd in Wax and Wax Shaping (Candles) and 3rd in the Honey competition.
Over the weekend of 25th to the 27th of August 2023, 13 Students from a combined effort of 9/10 Agriculture and 9/10 Visual Arts participated in the 178th Annual Penrith Show. These students had worked each Thursday afternoon during Term 3 to create their display to compete against 12 other schools in the Area.
With assistance from Mrs. Henry and Mrs. Organ, these students were able to create this display on their chosen topic of Bees and Honey at School. Throughout of the process of creating their display, they had to create informative information for both the public and the judges to view in their display.
On the Friday students had to embark on their journey to create their display at the Penrith Paceway and compete against other schools. During this time, students also submitted entries into a range of categories to compete against the other schools. From this, the students were victorious.
Thank you for all the support received from the Plumpton Community and looking to bigger and better displays and competitions in the future.
