In introducing and congratulating our 2024 Senior Student Executive Council (SEC) Leadership Team, I would like to provide some important commentary that has led these students to a position of leadership. When you were faced with the decision to step outside your comfort zone, which will you choose: courage or comfort? You all chose to be courageous whilst a great many of you were fearful. Overcoming such an intense emotion isn’t easy, but you can change the narrative by stepping out from behind your fear and taking some powerful, calculated risks as our new leadership team have done.
I am sure our new leadership team will be able to rise to the challenge continuing to lead the school forward with courage, clear focus, passion, and determination. Their leadership capacity will continue to build as will their journey as positively contributing global citizens and the leaders of tomorrow.
For 2024 we have added an additional School Vice-Captain given the level of work the SEC undertakes with 135 active members across the school building their leadership capacity. This not only supports their personal journey increasing post school opportunities, but also supports the improved culture of our great school. They will have significantly important work to maintain the current teams of Inclusion, Community, Charity, Sustainability, Media & Marketing and Leadership continuing important work of leading the students at our school and supporting ongoing improvement of student engagement, school spirit and sense of belonging.
Can the school please join me in congratulating the 2024 School leadership team as they commence their school leadership journey in the continuing building of a successful Plumpton High School where all students become the best they can be.

Thank you to Ms Racela, Ms Caramancion and Ms Maait for their excellent leadership of the SEC that has enabled such innovation and success.
