Outstanding accomplishment by Masooma in Year 10 who has been awarded an ABCN Scholarship. Masooma was presented with her scholarships at the ABCN End of Year Presentation event hosted by the Commonwealth Bank at The Foundry in Eveleigh. Masooma is 1 of 32 students from approximately 300 applications across Australia to be awarded this prestigious scholarship. This demonstrates her intellectual ability, leadership capacity, determination, courage, community contribution and commitment to striving for excellence.
An ABCN Scholarship entitles Scholars to:
• A senior business mentor selected by ABCN from their network of member companies
• $7000 over years 11, 12 and the first year of further education, training or employment
• Participate in the ABCN Accelerate program
Plumpton High School has proudly partnered with ABCN for the past nine years and is commencing year 10 in 2025. We would like to express our sincere thanks to ABCN and its member companies that provide our students opportunities by opening doors and access to business networks to build their level of innovation, creativity, knowledge, skills and leadership capacity.
Some of Plumpton High School’s ABCN business partners that we work with on a regular basis include Lend Lease, Bain and Company, TAL, JP Morgan, PVH, Microsoft, Amex, Optus, Accenture, Adobe, Ernst and Young, Minter Ellison, KPMG and The Commonwealth Bank.
Plumpton students have now been awarded 12 ABCN Scholarships over the last 9 years, which is an outstanding achievement. Students can potentially be offered employment with these companies following the completion of their studies. Two of our previous ABCN Scholar alumni Faqeeha Amal and Sabeeka Shakeel also attended the evening with mentors Taryn and Sarah.
I would also like to acknowledge the work of our Student Advocate Gemma Avon who supports our ABCN scholars’ leadership and learning journey working closely with them and our business partners.
Once again congratulations Masooma upon this prestigious scholarship.
Tim Lloyd, Principal
