The Colebee Secondary School Sport Zone is proud to recognize Mr. Daniel Simonovski with Life Membership in acknowledgment of his significant and enduring contributions to school sport within our zone.
In 2010, Mr. Simonovski stepped into the role of Sports Organiser at Plumpton High School, alongside Mr. Nicholls. From the outset, he demonstrated his dedication to the sporting development of students. He was instrumental in organizing knockout team sports and gala days, ensuring that Plumpton High School students had ample opportunities to compete and showcase their talents. Beyond event organization, he also coordinated students to attend trials for various zone teams, providing them with pathways to excel and represent at higher levels in their chosen sports.
Today, Mr. Simonovski continues to serve as part of the Sports Organiser team at Plumpton High School, providing invaluable support and working diligently behind the scenes. In his capacity as Head Teacher PDHPE at Plumpton High, he has consistently championed school sport and fostered a culture of participation and excellence.
In addition to his organizational roles, Mr. Simonovski has a distinguished record as a coach. He has successfully coached numerous school teams across a variety of sports, including soccer, touch football, and rugby league. His coaching expertise has also benefited the wider zone, having led the Mt Druitt Zone girls’ teams on multiple occasions.
Mr. Simonovski's commitment, passion, and sustained service have significantly impacted school sport in our zone, making him a deserving recipient of this prestigious honour. His contributions have enriched the sporting experience of countless students, and his legacy will be felt for years to come.
Once again congratulations Daniel and thank you for your ongoing commitment to supporting Western Sydney students in their endeavours to achieve excellence. You are an outstanding role model for our students and staff alike.
