Wonderful to see our flourishing partnership with Citibank supporting our Student Executive Council (SEC) senior leaders at the annual SEC and House Captain Leadership Summit. Each year in February for the past 7 years we have held this summit supporting the leadership and learning journeys of our students who work collaboratively with the new Citibank recruits as mentors.
The day commenced with each of our Citi mentors sharing their life journeys and insights of how they have come to be in their current role. This included their choices and decision making, struggles and secrets about what has enabled their success. Notably many had never thought they would be in a career of banking when the commenced their journeys.
Citi mentors combined to outline and explain the importance of networking and how that can build greater opportunities on a career journey with advice on how to undertake this. Students and Citi mentors collaborated in team building activities and supporting our SEC with their current projects gaining additional input to their work and project management in general using our Gazelle’s commercial project management structure.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Citibank and Annabel from Citi for their ongoing support of Plumpton High School that is seeing many generations of students gain insights about success at school and the world beyond school. We look forward to continuing this highly valuable partnership that is improving the life chances of our students.
