A group of 25 of our Years 9, 10 and 11 girls attended a "Future Is Bright" Bootcamp. The program has been designed to assist girls across Greater Western Sydney connect with other students, relevant organisations, the resources & tools and the support they need to pursue a career in STEM & Trades.
Developed by Amanda Rose, The Founding Director of Western Sydney Women, this program empowers women to pursue careers in STEM & Trades. The program is centred around building confidence with experience days and networking events. Whilst at Endeavour Energy our students engaged in a "Pole Climb" Activity, a Virtual Reality experience, a Site Tour and had the opportunity to learn about sustainability, innovative engineering and to fly a drone. During a Networking Lunch, students heard from a panel of women on their roles and experiences within the energy industry.
Thank you to Endeavour Energy for providing this opportunity to our students and to Gemma, our Student Advocate in the Futures Centre for her work in organising the experience.
