2024 Greater Western Sydney Careers Market

GREATER WESTERN SYDNEY CAREERS MARKET

Brett Carter Events hosted the 2024 GREATER WESTERN SYDNEY CAREERS MARKET at the Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre. Plumpton High School was represented by 40 fabulous Year 10 and 11 students.

This event offered exhibitors the opportunity to speak to thousands of Greater Western Sydney high school students to explore career paths and further education options available to them.

Organisations such as Universities, Registered Training Organisations (RTO), Apprenticeship Centre’s, Group training Organisations, Private Colleges, Professional Associations and Employers attended the event to inform students about everything they need to know, covering all questions about careers and educational options after high school.

Apart from having a terrific day, our students were commended by Brett Carter himself as well as Event Staff on their exemplary conduct. We also received feedback from the Bus Company and the Driver;

"It was a pleasure to drive the senior students from Plumpton High School between the Careers Market in Penrith and their school this afternoon.

When I was thinking about writing this email, the word “respect” kept coming to mind. Respect between the students and their teachers, the respect that the students had for each other and the respect that they showed me as their driver. There was no shouting on board the bus, no bad language that I noticed and a sensible volume of conversation between the students that made my job of driving very easy. The genuine care that the teachers have for the students is clear in the way that they encouraged and praised the students after the Event and the teacher’s desire to prepare the students for life after the students’ complete school.

Our job would be a lot easier if more of our passengers were like the senior students at Plumpton High School.

Kind Regards, Andrew"
