Plumpton High School recently held its highly anticipated annual swimming carnival, which turned out to be a resounding success. The event, held at Mount Druitt Pool, brought together students, staff, and parents for a day of fun, excitement, and healthy competition.
The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as the students prepared to showcase their swimming skills and represent their respective houses. The carnival featured a wide range of events, catering to all skill levels and age groups. From the exhilarating freestyle races to the nail-biting relay events, Plumpton High School's students demonstrated their impressive swimming abilities, pushing themselves to new heights in the pool.
One of the highlights of the carnival was the friendly rivalry between the four houses: Dangar, Karinga, Halkirk, and Woodstock. Throughout the day, students enthusiastically cheered on their housemates, creating a vibrant and supportive atmosphere. The sense of camaraderie was wonderful, as students proudly donned their house colours and chanted their houses. Alongside the competitive events, the swimming carnival also offered a range of fun activities for students and parents alike.
It was wonderful to see, and a big thank you to our Heads of House together with their House Captains who led by example generating amazing school spirit and a sense of belonging. Their efforts have truly made a difference in promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.
I would like to express my gratitude to Mr. Nicholls, the PDHPE staff who organized the carnival and our dedicated staff for their tremendous work at the carnival. The success of this event would not have been possible without the hard work, commitment, and passion of our staff.
