Congratulations to our newly elected House Captains as they continue their leadership journey. This role involves the following responsibilities, also preparing them for opportunities beyond school.
Captains are nominated and selected from Year 11 and are responsible for:
- Leading and managing one of the 4 Houses (Dangar, Halkirk, Karinga or Woodstock) in collaboration with the Heads of House and the Student Executive Council (SEC) through a project management structure.
- Encourage student participation and engagement in house events and all projects including; the Celebrating Success Merit System, sporting carnivals and other house based competitions such as the Rubik’s Cube Challenge.
- Lead and manage House meetings in conjunction with the Head of House.
- Generating and encouraging a sense of belonging, contribution and house spirit enabling students to be the best they can be.
- Communication with the student body and staff regarding activities/initiatives/projects available to students at assemblies and through the electronic house notice board.
- Leading and managing activities at Orientation Day and O week.
