Plumpton Careers Advisor, Hayley Tanti Recipient of the Coral McLean Chifley Women of the Year Award

Congratulations to Hayley who was nominated for the incredible contribution she has made to the community including the work she has undertaken as our Futures Centre Coordinator, the programs she has led and established, being a member of the SES and general contribution to the Chifley community.

The Coral McLean Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of local Chifley women and are dedicated in memory of Coral McLean, known to many as the ‘Mother of Mt Druitt’. Coral helped establish the Mt Druitt and Area Community Legal Centre and was one of the founders of the Mt Druitt Reconciliation Group, helping pioneer the annual Reconciliation Walk.

 

I have attached a couple of photos of the presentation ceremony this morning hosted by the Honourable Ed Husic, Federal Member for Chifley with guest speaker Linda Burney.

 

Ally Rice of year 12 was the guest singer who performed brilliantly at the award ceremony.

 

Once again congratulations to Hayley.
